About Us

Lead Partner

The Wildern Partnership SCITT aims to develop resourceful and reflective early career teachers who are able to motivate learners to engage, achieve and develop. Our aim is that our trainee teachers begin their career in teaching as:

Reflective practitioners who are able to think critically and creatively; who “know what to do when they don’t know what to do”. (Professor Rob Coe). They will have an appetite for learning and use their influence as role models to positively make a difference to the lives of children and young people.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our curriculum which is informed by up to date and relevant research, the commitment of our mentors,  the development of strong and secure subject knowledge and high levels of pastoral care.

  • Engagement with the SCITT will improve the thinking, dialogue and actions of all professionals
  • Learning will happen when teachers commit to self-improvement in a safe and challenging community of educators
  • Our teachers will pursue the different ways in which education influences lives and will be advocates for the profession.
