“Trainees develop very effective skills in managing behaviour. They explore how pupils behave and what this tells them about how pupils feel or what they experience. Trainees also consider how their own actions and behaviours have an effect on the class and on individuals. This knowledge and their skills are developed over the year so that, as NQTs, they demonstrate very strong skills in managing pupils’ behaviour.
